As is known, our Uncle Google has various content rules suggested to us. It is generally known: write 400-450 words, adjust bold, italic, underline settings, do outbound links well, etc.
Is this a myth?
Do visitors really value reading a lot of content? Or do they spend more time on a site consisting of short 1-2 sentences and bulleted content.
Just now, I thought of myself as someone who has never been a writer on this subject and started browsing the internet. I did some research on topics. I entered one site where there was a lot of images, little text. I entered another site where there was little images, a lot of text.
The interface layouts of both sites were almost the same. Sidebar on the right, content on the left. The only difference was that one author provided clear information to the reader heading by heading. The other author used an image in the top left and wrote plenty of informative content.
I thought;
I need short, concise, and clear information. (I’m skipping some important technical topics). And indeed, on the site with bulleted writing, many related images, and little text, I felt a desire -as a feeling- to spend more time.
It is better, in my opinion, if visitors like the site, stay longer on it, and browse through the pages.
Is buying and selling articles, and struggling too much to write articles unnecessary? (This is just a thought) Is it possible to write short and concise and have sites with higher traffic? In my opinion, it is almost possible.
So what do you think?
