I am trying to make changes regarding my customers’ locations on the map using Google My Business; I am making the edits and submitting them from the Google account I opened for the business. So far, so good
A warning appears from Google stating, “Your verification code will be delivered to this address within 1-2 weeks.” A letter is supposed to arrive at the address, but it has been 1 month since my last change, and there is still neither a letter nor a verification code.
Currently on Google, there is a different company name and contact number at the location where the firm is located. It appears in the rankings as a map in local searches, but we cannot benefit from it because the business information is incorrect.
Is there another way to make this edit? What can be done as an alternative?
It happens via phone; the code is announced via an automatic call to the phone number you provided. If it has been a month, I think it will arrive within 2 weeks at most.
It is added as a site on Webmaster Tools, but in its current state registered on Maps, there is neither a phone number, nor an address, nor a web page. The place only has its old name.
Instant verification (only available for certain businesses)
Make sure to log in to Google My Business with the account you used to verify your site with Webmaster Tools. Note that some business categories may not be eligible for instant verification.
Also, I don’t know why, but I can’t perform the verification process mentioned above.
