Is the Hosting Market Still Open?

Hello,

I had opened a topic and had decided to start an IT company. Currently, we have decided on the 3 services we will provide. We are planning a full launch around June; we currently have our tax license. We couldn’t decide whether to offer services like Hosting, VDS, and VPS. If we offer this service, we won’t have trouble providing support. There is also no problem in providing the infrastructure that will sustain us at the beginning. As for finding customers, we plan to advertise on Webrazzi.com and with various writers in major internet areas. However, we are undecided about whether it is still possible to find customers in this field. I wanted to get your comments.

Except for one or two companies, there is still no company in the market that does its job properly. But instead of a normal hosting company, a DigitalOcean-style company would attract much more attention and be profitable before DigitalOcean enters the Turkish market.

I think the horse has bolted in this sector, and subsequent efforts will remain merely a whim.

Hocam webrazzi ye reklam vermek sizi aşar onu bilir onu söylerim.

In Turkey, there aren’t even 20 companies that do their job properly; in fact, only 10 of those 20 are trouble-free. The rest are garbage, I think you shouldn’t bother with them

Even assuming you will provide service comparable to the few firms described as “high quality,” unless you offer something different from these companies, it is very difficult to reach the position they currently hold (while there is a place everyone recommends, no one readily goes somewhere they don’t know, especially when there are hundreds of comments from people who have been burned by lousy hosting companies in the market). After establishing your difference, your advertising needs to generate itself organically to some extent; perhaps you can achieve this by starting with prices below market rates and providing full, user-friendly 24/7 service to build solid references…
Best of luck.

There is no such thing as “it can be done” or “it cannot be done.”

However, you must put up large sums of money and be willing to accept not earning anything for a few years.

You have to put up quite a lot of money, build a team, and start operations without earning any money.

So if you are thinking on a small scale, don’t even bother.
