2 months ago, for a full 5 months, I was ranking 1st on Google for “fire cabinet” and almost all its variations. However, 2 months ago, the URL ranking 1st disappeared from the top 500 on Google, and a tag URL on the 2nd page took its place. I didn’t touch anything, just waited for it to return. 1 week ago, the URL that was in 1st place came back to the 10th spot on the 1st page. Now, that same URL has disappeared again and the tag URL has returned in its place. Why is this happening, what do I need to do, please help me.

Hi, it’s a bit late, but I wanted to write since I saw this.

1. What are you using for the Sitemap? Did you assign a very high value to tag pages in Google XML Sitemaps? If 1 or similar is assigned, or if it is the same as posts, there might be a problem here.

2. If there is spam in terms of backlinks, it could be troublesome;

1- I use the Joomla system, honestly I couldn’t assign anything to the map

2 - I don’t think it’s spam, but I Disavowed all the URLs I suspected. + I started entering content every 3 days
3- My backlinks are good too, I mean much better than my competitors.
4- I will try what you suggested last.
5- There were tags, I cleaned them up until there were at most 3 left. I am currently waiting, sir. I will keep you posted if anything happens

Hi, it’s a bit late but I decided to write since I saw it.

2. If there is spam in backlinks, it can be troublesome, there might be fluctuations. Disavow them. Afterwards, enter plenty of content.

3. If backlinks etc. are few, do some linking to your page experiencing a drop from a few solid news sites. (If there is spam etc., that is the reason, you don’t need to do this.)

4. Pages where you just create content and leave it can enter a decline in this current process. Because of that, if a sub-page is appearing with a 200-300 word article, update this article; otherwise, I suggest adding a video and doing “Fetch as Google”. In short, it is hard to say something definite without a comprehensive look, but these are the things that come to mind.
