PrestaShop or OpenCart: Which one?

Hello friends, I want to set up a website for my wife to make small sales targeting Russian citizens in Turkey. However, I did some research, and PrestaShop and OpenCart are the software generally used. I am undecided between the two. If anyone has an opinion, could you please share it with me? There won’t be an issue with language options, meaning it needs to work in two languages. Also, sales will be via bank transfer without credit cards, of course.

I haven’t used Presta Shop much, but Open Cart, in my opinion, is the one with the most support, where you won’t experience module issues, and it has a solid infrastructure.
http://goo.gl/Ssy1WE there is absolutely no language issue. Version 2, in particular, is great. Theme and module developers start providing support for this version very quickly.
Of course, if there is anyone using Presta Shop, their opinions are also important. I will try to help with Open Cart as much as I can.

Exactly, we are waiting for comments from friends who have knowledge about this.. Or can it be solved with WooCommerce?

I looked at PrestaShop a bit. The admin panel is very organized. You can easily access everything you want to do. I haven’t looked at OpenCart at all yet.

There is quite a lot of OpenCart support in Turkey. If you don’t know English, I’d say OpenCart; if you do know English, I’d say start directly with Magento.

Friends, for now I am doing a test run with PrestaShop. I hope I will find a system that my wife can also use comfortably.

I started using PrestaShop; I edited the default theme a little for husnahuner.com.tr and am using that. Yes, the support line is a very poor system and the modules are expensive. But let me say, I noticed things starting to move even on a two-week-old site. The admin panel is simple; you’ll figure out most things in a week. In terms of SEO, it is very, very good.

The default theme looks visually good. The admin panel is user-friendly. Let’s see if I can edit it to my liking.

Prestashop is definitely very successful, especially in terms of SEO. When you start getting indexed by Google, your products’ prices appear on Google. Additionally, if you implement a user rating system, both stars and prices will appear in search results. It has a built-in CDN settings section, and even its default theme is great. In terms of performance, you can minify CSS, HTML, and images. It has only one issue, which is that it runs very slowly on some hosts; I recommend starting with a VPS.

I agree, also everyone should definitely install the blog module. It has a great impact in terms of keeping things up-to-date.

I didn’t see any options during installation. Are there different installation options?

What kind of options.

You mentioned the installation of the blog module, that’s why I asked.

No sir, you do a normal installation and then add the blog

Yes, such a title will be very helpful to everyone. I am constantly researching. I will share what I learn on this topic.

Master, do you know if OpenCart has any advantages over PrestaShop?

I haven’t had much of a chance to use OpenCart; I installed it a few times, but it seemed too complicated to me. As I said, one of its biggest advantages is that it is SEO-friendly, we will see its other pluses in the future.
