What would you do?

Hello friends;

A school is having SEO issues due to domain complications. I would like to get your opinion on this matter.

There are 2 domains available.

okulismi.com
okulismi.k12.tr

The site is established on okulismi.k12.tr and the okulismi.com domain is redirected to the okulismi.k12.tr domain.

(In other words, when you type okulismi.com into the address bar, the content of okulismi.k12.tr loads, but it appears as okulismi.com in the address bar)

However, there is a problem. okulismi.com has always been used in newsletters, etc., and all backlinks point to this domain. In searches related to the site, okulismi.com always appears at the top, while okulismi.k12.tr appears far behind.

Since the domain desired to appear at the forefront in actual searches is okulismi.k12.tr, I need to somehow transfer the backlinks from okulismi.com to okulismi.k12.tr. Do you think a 301 redirect should be done for this? Or is it necessary to delete the okulismi.com domain and forget about all the backlinks coming there? Do you have any different suggestions?

**Note: **My main goal is to transfer the backlinks from okulismi.com to okulismi.k12.tr.

Thanks.

I think this is possible with a permanent 301 redirect.

What Do We Mean by a Permanent 301 Redirect?

You can do this from your domain panel. There are two options: one as a mask and one as permanent.

Is it a private school? If it’s a public school, it should have an meb.k12.tr address.

Private school, yes.
