Hello Friends
I have a site that could be called quality. Its homepage gets about 500 unique hits from **3-4 **keywords.
There are approximately 1000 articles but only **200 hits **come from sub-pages in total.. To avoid dropping for the homepage keywords, I constantly buy promotional articles; when I don’t, it drops in those keywords too..
- If I were to get links for my site categories or even footer links, I feel like my sub-page visitors would increase too, but I have many categories and categories are nofollow no index. So if I get links to categories from another site, Google bots will pass by without looking..
-
Should I make categories index and follow again?
-
My priority is maintaining my homepage’s position for those 3-4 words, and then increasing my visitors from sub-pages..
What path should I follow in your opinion… (I hope I was able to explain)
Sir, it seems like knowledge sharing has weakened on the site since SEO work turned into trade
I also opened a question on a similar topic, but there is no answer. Anyway, let’s figure it out on our own. My friend, I think those 1000 articles of yours are not unique. Or they are low quality. Otherwise, 200 hits is not normal. And under any condition, I think what you need to do is give footer backlinks to your most important articles within your own site. I see great benefit this way. If not, write quality articles for those 3-4 keywords. Put them all in the footer. Every day, make a small addition to one of those 4 articles. This way, you will strengthen in the main keywords in 2 weeks. The sub-pages issue is complicated. I am also undecided on this matter. If I had time, I would update them all in turn. If you update 33 articles daily. The job is done in 1 month.
Thanks for the reply.. I don’t believe there is anyone who really knows this job properly anyway. The people talking are just acting like they know rather than actually knowing…
- I agree with the matter of linking to important posts in the footer. That’s why I use a popular posts plugin; 5-6 posts are listed that way. Most of the hits coming from sub-pages come from those pages anyway..
I came up with a solution like this: to put links to many posts on a sub-page like a sitemap, and it seemed logical to get footer links to this sub-page…
Many people know how to do it properly. But some have time, others don’t. Some have the desire, others don’t.
I don’t know how popular posts work. Do they appear on every page?
I do that last thing you mentioned. But it would be more beneficial if you do this not just to a page with a link, but by embedding links into a solid 500-word page.
