I don’t think it will have much effect. I am of the opinion that it would be ridiculous for a 1-month-old site to overtake a 5-year-old site just because it is mobile-friendly.
It doesn’t happen like that anyway. It is compared with its peers.
The update was just as I predicted, there is nothing to panic about. Apparently, they will differentiate mobile search results from web search results. So, mobile sites will be prioritized on mobile.
It looks like there is no change.
