I want to tell you guys about an incident I experienced. 3 weeks ago I took a website job for a nightclub; a friend of mine who works there arranged it. Anyway, we agreed on 1,300, 300 upfront and the rest when the job was done. It took a little over a week and I finished it (at the time I was really broke, so I was very happy the work came in). Anyway, they didn’t keep their word and asked if paying 500 + 500 would be okay. I said okay to that. They were supposed to send 500 last Sunday; they didn’t. Thursday they said they’d send it all; they didn’t again. So on Friday, I took the site down. I told the friend working there, and he told his boss. His boss gave exactly this response: “Good for him, he’ll open our site when we pay,” but he didn’t give a date. I was shocked when I saw this response http://www.r10.net/images/smilies/biggrin.gif Anyway, last night I messaged the friend again, asking “Bro, what’s the latest? Isn’t the boss saying anything?” The friend replied at 6 AM with exactly this: (The Boss Died, Bro). I woke up in the morning, saw it, and was shocked again, but this time I was cursing inside, thinking “Damn, do people lie like this for a few bucks?” I messaged the friend an hour ago asking if you guys are mocking me. He replied, “No bro, he really died, they shot the boss as he was leaving the bar at night.” As soon as he said that, I checked the internet immediately; they really had killed the guy. What do I do now? Should I mourn the guy’s death, or should I be sad about being such an unlucky person? I couldn’t decide.
Sir, yours really is… Don’t get me wrong, but if you are offered a free desert safari or something these days, definitely don’t go. Or your ego must be really bad. One shouldn’t risk being cursed by you. In that case, regards, mumble mumble..
