While searching for a domain for the tech blog I’m going to start, other extensions (.company, .education, .support, etc.) caught my attention. I wonder, can I use these? Is there any downside? Or is there any harm in buying a few of them, thinking they might appreciate in value and I’ll use them later? In most places I’ve researched, .com is recommended, but the reasons aren’t clearly stated. I’d appreciate it if someone could explain this.
