Hello,
I would like to have a chat-style discussion on this topic. Let’s share everyone’s experiences, what they’ve been through, what difficulties they face, and the good and bad aspects… Things like “I work this way and have this challenge,” or “this has this benefit.”
Everyone can talk about what they do or achieve, rather than focusing on their career or earnings. For instance, “I’m glad I didn’t work at a company; I wouldn’t have achieved X and Y.” Or, “If I were working a corporate job, I’d be making a good living right now.”
“I work both a corporate job and my own business,” etc., etc. The list goes on.
Rest assured, what you write here will be a valuable experience for me, people like me, and frankly, for everyone.
Also, a friend wrote a post like this on a dictionary site, and I liked it.

Let me start right away. Age 21. I have enough knowledge to design a moderately complex site and code it into CSS. But I have absolutely no desire to go and work for an employer. I want to have my own sites, different projects, a comfortable life, and not work under anyone’s command. Because of this, I argue with my family very often. There is always hope inside me; seeing those who earn an income and realize their dreams makes me even more hopeful. They are used to getting a 1k salary and taking out a mortgage, and they are trying to steer me in that direction as well. It’s not that I look down on the 1k salary; there are people working very hard for minimum wage and supporting a family on that income. But at what age do they become homeowners? You can’t call it “my own home” when there’s an ongoing mortgage debt on it. If we’re going to give the salary I earn to the bank for a loan, why live? We should eat, drink, travel, and have fun, man. I’m just an ordinary person; my situation isn’t all that great either. But since you guys are already working, let me try to do something for myself in this direction, alright? Right now, for example, I earn between 400-600 TL monthly from YouTube AdSense, which I give directly to the household, and I’m striving to earn more. (I mentioned the earnings; you don’t have to.) Actually, I started giving it in the last 2-3 months because we argued so frequently
Also, there’s a foreign site entering its 3rd month with 90 to 160 hits that I’m working on. The only downside for me is the insurance issue, nothing else. I take my walks, meet up with friends at a cafe, and sometimes we clear our heads. Waking up at the crack of dawn, the commute, going there to make money for others, the traffic after work, coming home to sit for 2 hours, sleep, and the same routine in the morning. I don’t want this system, and I never will. But if it happens that one day our situation declines significantly, then I might go and work somewhere. Maybe you’ll get mad, maybe you’ll have different opinions, but this is who I am. We are young, brothers and sisters, let’s live life. I look forward to your comments.
