Hi friends, I installed “Yoast” on the site I launched 2 days ago, but it turns out the descriptions in the categories needed to be edited as well. Since I usually use “All in SEO Pack”, I didn’t notice.
As for my problem, because the “description” section in the categories appeared empty, Google displayed some random nonsense. I fixed the issue; I even deleted the sitemap.xml and re-uploaded it + performed “Fetch as Google”. I don’t know, I guess it might be too early, but when I check, the old text is still visible while my new entries aren’t showing up. I’m looking for solution suggestions from friends who have experienced similar issues.
You need to wait a little longer. Simply fetching your homepage and requesting to submit all related pages to the index using your quota of 10 once should be sufficient. After that, I say don’t touch it and wait. It will settle.
