While developing our Link Building strategies, there are multiple factors to pay attention to, and we are all aware of them now. Primarily, things like anchor text distribution, link authorities, link chronology, no follow / do follow optimization…
- Link Chronology Importance- Anchor Text Optimization- Nofollow Dofollow Optimization
Another important point we need to pay attention to when acquiring links or creating our link strategies is, of course, to acquire links suitable for our sector and category (provided they appear natural); naturally, none of our competitors will give us a link. There is a situation I have mentioned since the day I started blogging to “understand Google.” For example, you are a hosting company and have started link building studies; of course, relevant technology links will suit you as well, but if you want to hit the bullseye, for instance, sponsoring a hosting festival and getting a link from that hosting festival page… Just as people will recognize, like, and trust you because you sponsored there. Similarly, Google will give extra value to links you receive directly from your category.
SIMILARWEB TOOL
The first method I will provide won’t offer you many alternatives, but it will form an idea. With a tool named SimilarWeb, sites similar to ours are presented to us. As similar sites, not just competitors, but relevant news sites and blogs often appear.
Here, in the free section, we can see a certain number of similar sites, but if we go with the tactic that the similar of the similar could be my similar too, we can multiply these sites. For example, if webmastersitesi.com appeared as a similar site, and I go and analyze webmastersitesi.com again via SimilarWeb, I can obtain more sites. This should actually be shaped according to your creativity, to be honest.
ADWORDS DISPLAY PLANNER
This method I will give is a bit more valid. For example, let’s say I am looking for a site suitable for my category to get a backlink related to the SEO keyword.
When we search with such a query (when we ask for ideas), a quite full and satisfying panel will open before us. Actually, this panel used in AdWords ads will help us in our link building studies. How? Let’s see;
In the window that opens, under Ad Ideas, there is a tab with Topics. Here, Google says in which categories you would get better returns if you advertise on the current site for the current keyword. We say that it would be healthier if I get a link from sites included in the topics within this category for the current site. For instance, in this example, it gave me 3 categories, from relevant to irrelevant. And of course, these categories have sub-categories, such as;
So the conclusion we will draw is that when I click on the first category it recommended, it gives me 8 categories/sub-categories. In this example, what it gave me are Internet, > Internet – Search Engine, Internet – Web Service, Internet- Web Portal, Internet – Service Provider, etc.
If we say we need extra backlinks besides these, we can access different categories by going into other recommendations in the upper category. One can make many inferences with just this tool. Finding a site suitable for your category and getting links from these sites is now up to you.
