Hello friends, two heads are better than one, so it is worth consulting you.
The corporate site I work on is being renewed. The entire design, content, and URL structures. In this regard, I have identified the pages to be 301 redirected, etc., but if you have other advice, something beneficial or that helps minimize damage, I would like to hear it.
What I have done - what I will do:
- We will 301 redirect the old URLs found on the old site to their new addresses on the new site.
- For pages on the old site that do not exist on the new site, I will either 301 redirect them to the most relevant page or to the homepage.
- I will remove all of the site’s content from the Google index.
- Once they are all removed, I will add the site to Google again.
- After the new indices settle, I will start getting promotional articles for the newly created URLs (spread over 2 months).
If anyone has extra advice or situations where you say “don’t do this, bro,” let’s discuss please ![]()
