Guys, the number of links I added to the sitemap is around 1 million, but Google has automatically indexed around 250,000. How can we get closer to the sitemap count?

Webmaster tool crawls 1000 pages a day. If I understood you correctly, what you want isn’t possible. When you want to remove those pages tomorrow, it will try to remove them in batches of 1000 as well. You need to keep your site up to date for fast indexing. By the way, try not to get flagged as spam; I think 1m is a bit too much.
The site is 9 years old and has 950,000 messages and 250,000 topics, that’s why our numbers are high.
