Hello friends. I am looking for software for a different and open-source project. I have researched a lot and even conducted trials by setting up and deleting servers on DigitalOcean, but I am undecided. The project will be a community based on Linux, which I can describe as a place for encountered problems and exchange of ideas. It is more of a Stack Overflow style than a forum atmosphere.
- Nodebb: A fast and stable software running on Node.js. Demo
- Discourse: Looks nice and fast. Those who use it seem satisfied. Demo
- Vanilla Forum: This is also well-known, with big places using it. Popular. Demo of a site using it, Demo from the main site
In short, friends, is there anyone who knows, has tried, or uses these? Do you have any different recommendations? Is there anything you can say about a specific open-source software? It would be greatly appreciated if you could give some ideas.
Note: I have used SMF, Mybb, Phpbb, Xenforo, Vbulletin; I do not want to prefer these software. If you are going to recommend them, you can eliminate them right away, friends. What I want to do is not the classic forum mold.
