Hello friends, I have a site with 5k traffic where I publish AdSense ads. Is a splash ad from another ad company a violation of AdSense rules? My second question is, can splash ads push the site back in rankings? Is it harmful for SEO?
Splash ads will lower users’ enjoyment of browsing the site, slow down the site, and at the same time make navigation difficult. Consequently, your users will want to browse less and therefore click on fewer ads. When these values drop, naturally Google will realize that users do not like your site. Bounce rates may increase and the average time spent on the site may decrease. This negatively affects SEO.
I think Google can access or estimate these values in some way, even if you don’t use Analytics.
